son	Jean	in	Chateau-Richier.Zacharie	and	Saintes	Cloutier	were	the	first	couple	in	Cana
to	celebrate	their	golden	anniversary,	in	1676.	

Zacharie	Cloutier,	born	in	December	1590	and	died	on	September	17,	1677,	participated
one	of	the	first	movements	of	French	emigration	to	New	France.	He	is	one	of	the	founde
of	 the	 former	 city	 of	 Beauport,	 now	 merged	 with	 the	 city	 of	 Quebec.	 He	 therefo
contributed	 greatly	 to	 the	 settlement	 and	 development	 of	 French	 Canada.	 Born
